Large will make it weak. I handle it *Very* carefully, turning very lightly until it just closes.
For anyone thinking about taking this to work to use in a work keurig, think again. You don't need to be rough with it.
Well first off, like all K-Cups, this one won't make a large, strong cup of coffee. Now, this works great when you fill it up almost to the top and select medium for a strong cup.As far as it breaking from what I've read in other reviews, I haven't had such problems.
You have to change the base in the actual machine to fit this so you won't be able to do it on work machines. For those that like it strong, like me, the biggest cup you get is the medium button.
But that's just how K-Cups are.
And it's at a great price. Authentic K-cup for Keurig coffee maker -- works great to allow you to use your own coffee.
I still purchase some of the coffee pods but I find I use the filter even more. I love this little filter, it makes this coffee pot even more worth it; because I can continue to use my favorite coffee.
They are aware of the problem and I don't understand why they haven't done it already. The manufacturer should rework this part; change the design or materials. And based on what I'm reading, many others have had the same problem.
Until recently we've been using the prepackage K-cups, and they are expensive. I emailed Breville and they are sending me a replacement, no questions asked (it's still under warranty), but I'm sure it will happen again. I purchased my Breville Keurig in March and I used the My K-cup a few times at the start to test it out for coffee and tea.
I don't want to have to keep buying these things. When you spend this much money for a coffee maker you shouldn't have problems like this. We ran out of the prepackaged K-cups a week or two ago and we've been using the My K-cup with our own bagged coffee.
It makes a good cup of coffee, but after a total of about 3 weeks of use, the plastic catches on the lid that hold it to the base just broke off.
The reuseable allows me to finally make my perfect cup of coffee using good old Maxwell House fast hot and cheap. I've ordered kcups before and was never crazy about the taste. Dont know why other reviewers have had issues with this. It's very easy to put in place and easy to clean.
